Business Problem

As compliance requirements grew, the client faced operational challenges in onboarding accounts and monitoring brokerage activity.

  • Fragmented and Manual Compliance Monitoring:
The client faced challenges in collecting and monitoring employee brokerage account transactions and holdings in a timely and reliable manner. The process relied heavily on manual coordination, delayed data imports, and fragmented account feeds, resulting in limited visibility into employee-linked financial accounts and increasing compliance monitoring risks.
  • Inefficient Employee Account Onboarding:
The client relied on a manual and time-intensive process to onboard employee brokerage accounts. This approach increased administrative effort, delayed account setup, and made it difficult to ensure all employee-linked accounts were accurately captured, verified, and continuously monitored for ongoing compliance and regulatory oversight.
  • Delayed and Inconsistent Brokerage Data:
The client faced challenges obtaining timely and consistent transactions and holdings data from multiple financial institutions. Delayed and incomplete feeds reduced visibility and made it difficult to maintain accurate, up-to-date account records.
  • Inefficient Account Linking and Data Quality Issues:
The client lacked a secure, streamlined process for linking employee brokerage accounts. Combined with multiple data sources, this resulted in incomplete connections, duplicate account records, and reconciliation challenges.
  • High Compliance Risk and Manual Administration:
Limited automation and inconsistent account reporting increased compliance risk. Administrators relied heavily on manual processes to monitor account connections, manage data feeds, and ensure data quality and regulatory oversight.

Business Benefits

  • Reduced Onboarding Effort and Time – 60% improvement:
The streamlined, self-service onboarding flow for employee brokerage accounts reduced manual setup effort and processing time by around 60%. Compliance and operations teams can now onboard more employees with significantly fewer administrative bottlenecks.
  • Faster and More Complete Data Availability – 65% improvement:
Automated, scheduled ingestion of transactions and holdings from multiple financial institutions improved data freshness and completeness by approximately 65%. Compliance teams now get timely access to critical account data needed for monitoring and surveillance.
  • Stronger Security and Trust in Account Linking – 70% enhancement in secure coverage:
The introduction of secure authentication and multi-factor verification during account linking improved the security and reliability of monitored accounts by about 70%, reducing the risk of unverified or incorrectly linked accounts.
  • Improved Data Quality and Reduced Duplicates – 55% reduction in data issues:
Centralized duplicate handling and unified feed management reduced duplicate and inconsistent account records by roughly 55%. This led to cleaner data, less time spent on reconciliation, and more confidence in reporting.
  • Lower Compliance Risk and Higher Automation – 50% reduction in manual interventions:
Automated imports into RelativityOne (R1) and reduced reliance on manual tracking cut manual interventions in the data pipeline by around 50%. This lowered the risk of delayed or incomplete reporting and strengthened the organization’s overall compliance posture.
  • Enhanced Visibility and Operational Control – 60% improvement in monitoring efficiency:
Real-time dashboards for account connection status, data freshness, feed health, and exceptions improved monitoring efficiency by approximately 60%. Compliance leaders can identify issues faster, prioritize investigations more effectively, and maintain better operational control.
  • Reduced Manual Processing:
Automation of transaction retrieval, holdings synchronization, and Relativity One imports minimized manual intervention and operational overhead.
